I created these two concepts of Hansl and Gretl's hous as a popup book for a pitch. They were based on the two illustrations below. I was really fun to visualise this concept. The book however will probably not be made, since it is used merely to sell a concept.

CTNX 2013
From november 15 - 17 the annual CTN animation expo will be held in Burbank CA.
This year I will be attending again, sharing a booth with my buddy Edwin Rhemrev. Stop by and say hi at our booth T103.
Also I will be speaking at this years event. The title of my lecture is '5 principles that helped me become a better artist'. During my work as a freelance illustrator for over ten years, working on many different kinds of illustration work, ranging from caricatures and character designs to children's books and editorial illustrations, I learned a lot about how these different fields of illustration are connected. Often the same fundamentals, the same creative process and the same knowledge is needed to create a piece of art. In this talk I will go into five principles that helped me a lot improving my art.
I look forward to meeting you there!

This is an illustration I did for thye new digital magazine: ' De Correspondent'. (LINK)
The story is about the fact that more and more families are in financial trouble. They can't pay their rent and have to live with many others in care homes.
