This is what happens when some colored pencils and an old magazine photo find themselves in my way...Doodling is fun!

The art director decides which one he thinks best fits the cover. some of the other thumbnails will turn into small illustrations to accompany the article.
Final illustration. You can see some choices were made after the sketch; for instance to use straight lines and pointy corners in the man's home, and curves and ornaments in the woman's home, to bring up the contrast between them.

For the children's books museum, I created these characters, objects and backgrounds. In the museum, children will be able to create their own comic strip, by selecting backgrounds, characters and objects. They can scale and flip the objects and characters to match the story they come up with. I added some examples of compositions that can be made with these elements







I spent the last day of 2010 working on this cover illustration. The story deals with the question: why is it so that life gets better when we get older...
