Art for water
My entry for the 'Art for Water' project.
WITHOUT WATER there is NO LIFE
|
WHO. Art for Water is a non-profit campaign to aid two charities, Charity: Water and Waves for Water, in bringing clean and safe drinking water to the almost 1 billion, who struggle without it. We are a group of artists who have donated our art to be part of an online store where 100% of proceeds will go towards the campaign. The website will be a collection of talented artists all over the world. We hope that you will take time to visit it when it is launched. GOAL. The water projects we are trying to fund include 3 wells and 100 filters, which can help up to 6000 people. To do this we need to raise $20,000. WHY. Almost a billion people on the planet do not have clean and safe drinking water. We’ve decided that this is unacceptable. $20 is all that is needed to save one life. Think about how easily you spend $20. It’s not a lot to us, but it can do so much somewhere else in the world. Please donate and support if you believe in this cause. To donate immediately, please visit: www.artforwater.tumblr.com/donate For more information about the charities please visit: www.charitywater.org www.wavesforwater.org |

Fairytales finished

I did it!! I finished all of the illustyrations for the two fairytale books, and made the deadline! To celebrate I'll share two more finished illustrations for the story: Hansl and Gretl. Although I had little time to do extensive sketching and researching, I tried to spend as much time as possible to create a good foundation for the illustration.

Red riding hood

Development of an illustration from start to finish. The tight deadline doesn't allow me to do a lot of sketching. Still the 'design' stage is very important to me, so I try to put as much effort into it as possible. Then I solve a lot of problems while actually painting the illustration. The foliage on top is meant for typography.

Fairytales...
This is a finished illustration for the fairytale book I'm working on. I'm pleased with the result, especially considering I have only one day for each illustration. This Illustration is for the fairytale: 'The story of a boy who went forth to learn fear.' In this scene, he spends the night in a castle, Not afraid at all of the monsters and ghosts there. Instead, he falls asleep...Typography for the stories will be placed into the illustrations, which explains the big black area at the left side of the illustration.
